Today would have normally been a theater history day. Instead, we watched the film adaption to My Fair Lady. My Fair Lady is a contemporary version of Pygmalion, which is a required play for us to read this marking level. My Fair Lady is about a women named Eliza who sells flowers in the theater district of London. She works with a phonetic professor, Henry Higgins, to improve herself so she can get a job at a florist. We also learned about the girl's father, Alfred, who wants money from Eliza so he can fulfill his drinking needs.
